Former WWE Star Takes Shot At Hugh Grant

Hugh Grant

Hugh Grant is not a popular man with one former WWE Superstar.

Wonka is the latest movie adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The film was released on December 8th in the United Kingdom and features a star-studded cast including the likes of Timothée Chalamet, Olivia Colman, and Hugh Grant.

In the movie, Grant plays the role of the Oompa-Loompa Lofty, not that he enjoyed it.

Speaking at a recent press conference to promote the film, Grant said he “hated” the whole experience.

“I made a big fuss about it. I couldn’t have hated the whole thing more.”

Hornswoggle Has “Zero Sympathy” With Hugh Grant

Those comments from Grant haven’t gone unnoticed and in a recent interview with Talk TV, former WWE Superstar Hornswoggle hit back. The star — real name Dylan Postl, has dabbled in acting after finding success in WWE.

During the interview, Postl said he had “zero sympathy” for the Hollywood star.

“He knew what he was getting into when he took the role, that’s my whole thing. He knew the character, he knew how it would be viewed, edited and all that, but he still took it.

Obviously, I have zero sympathy for him feeling this way and it’s even more than that, I feel it’s a shame that he did take that role and it could have gone to someone of my stature.”

Postl added that he was disappointed that the role didn’t go to someone in the dwarf community.

“It’s an absolutely huge movie and a huge part of the Wonka story and backstory, how they are perceiving it. So for it to go to someone in the dwarf community would have been absolutely enormous.”

Postl joined WWE in 2006 and remained with the company for a decade, featuring in a number of high-profile storylines. During this period as Hornswoggle, he became the Cruiserweight Champion and has continued to make sporadic appearances for the company.
