Former WWE Star Excited About Return To Wrestling After 12 Years
A former WWE star is ready to step inside the squared circle after 12 years.
Kristal Marshall started her journey with the Stamford promotion by participating in the 2005 RAW Divas Search, where she finished fourth.
Nevertheless, Marshall earned herself a developmental contract and debuted on SmackDown in December of that year.
Over the course of her stint in WWE, she feuded with the likes of Jillian Hall, Ashley Massaro, and Layla.
Kristal Marshall did not win any titles and was ultimately released in 2007. Following her release, she joined TNA in 2009, spending only a handful of months there before departing in 2010.
Her last appearance was in the indies at Top Rope Promotions in 2013.
The 41-year-old recently spoke to SoCal Val on The Velvet Ropes, where she expressed her excitement about returning to wrestling through All Caribbean Wrestling.
It is a full-circle moment for the former WWE star, owing to her Caribbean roots.
I am so excited about all of it. You know, my family is from Barbados. I’m a first-generation American. I am a dual citizen. So, you know, the show that I’m going to be a part of is in Barbados. So, it’s like a huge homecoming of a sorts, you know.
It’s a beautiful place and it’s an opportunity for wrestling to expand in the heart of the Caribbean. So, it’s an honor and I’m super excited for you guys to see it and to support it and watch it grow. [H/T: Ringside News]
AJ Lee Scheduled To Wrestle At WWE Wrestlepalooza
AJ Lee made a spectacular return to WWE after over 10 years during the September 5 episode of SmackDown, during which she confronted and attacked Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch.
On the subsequent RAW episode, she again came face to face with Lynch, who had her husband, Seth Rollins, with her this time around.
Lee had taken away Lynch’s IC title with her, and demanded a mixed tag team match at WWE Wrestlepalooza in exchange for her title.
Ultimately, it was decided that Lee and Punk would team up to face Lynch and Rollins at the September 20 PLE. It will be Lee’s first wrestling match in over a decade.
After the RAW taping, Becky Lynch officially confirmed joining The Vision.
