Former WWE Superstar Calls Cody Rhodes “Entitled” Early In WWE Career
An ex-WWE Superstar believed that Cody Rhodes was “entitled” earlier in his career in World Wrestling Entertainment.
When the two first met, former WWE Superstar Rene Dupree said he felt like Rhodes was “entitled.”
Cody Rhodes played a key role on WWE’s Monday Night Raw brand in 2007, and during that stint, he would be paired up with Hardcore Holly. Eventually, Rhodes would backstab Holly and join The Legacy faction, who consisted of Randy Orton and Ted Dibiase before he became a member.
Rhodes would spend nine years with World Wrestling Entertainment, and then eventually was cut by the company in 2016. Afterwards, he would go on to the independent circuit before ultimately helping launch All Elite Wrestling in 2019. This year, he would leave AEW, making his return to WWE at WrestleMania 38.
Talking on “Cafe De Rene,” the ex-WWE star spoke about how entitled he believed Cody Rhodes was after he had his first interaction with him following his signing to the promotion.
“I remember Cody Rhodes one time spotted off like yeah second generation guys don’t get along and I’m thinking what the f**k do you know about that. My days with Cody were different with other people because when I first met him like, entitled? like a hundred and f**king percent right… He got hired, no experience, no nothing, he was 21, he was trying to be an actor in Hollywood.”
