Former WWE Partners Reunite In New Photo
Two stars of WWE’s Attitude Era have reunited.
Matt & Jeff Hardy and Lita – aka Team Xtreme – was one of the most popular groups in WWE in the early 2000’s. At the time, The Hardys were revolutionising the tag team division alongside The Dudley Boyz and Edge & Christian. Meanwhile, Lita was one of the top women on the roster thanks to her own alternative style and feuds with the likes of Trish Stratus and Stephanie McMahon.
The trio went their separate ways in 2002 when The Hardyz split up and began feuding with each other, while Lita suffered a neck injury that left her out of action for most of that year.
Now, two-thirds of the team have reunited at the WrestleCade Weekend, with Lita posting a picture of herself with Jeff Hardy at the convention.
Prospects of a full reunion of Team Xtreme seem remote, as The Hardyz have officially re-signed with TNA, while Lita has made multiple appearances for WWE, including a Women’s Tag Team Title reign with Becky Lynch in 2023.
How Long Will Matt & Jeff Hardy’s TNA Contract Last?
Matt Hardy recently gave more insight into his and Jeff’s TNA contract. The tag team legend explained that the promotion had worked closely with the brothers and did everything they said they would do for them. As a result, they have signed a one-year deal which also allows them to work outside the company.
The Hardys plan to “re-evolve” their characters during the run, and Matt said 2025 will be a “big year” for the current TNA Tag Team Champions.
