Former WWE Fan Favorite May Be AEW-Bound
A former WWE fan favorite may be headed to AEW.
Samantha Irvin was the ring announcer for the Stamford-based company from 2021 to 2024.
She began her stint on WWE 205 LIVE before being promoted to SmackDown in 2022 and then moved to RAW in 2023, where she worked until her departure in 2024.
Irvin was a hit among wrestling fans and was widely praised by the industry insiders for her dynamic voice and emotional delivery.
In one of the most viral social media moments, Irvin was shown in tears when announcing Cody Rhodes as the Undisputed WWE Champion after his win at WrestleMania 40.

No wonder it came as a shock to everyone when she announced her departure from the company.
Before being introduced to the world of wrestling, Irvin, whose real name is Samantha Johnson, had appeared on America’s Got Talent.
Samantha Irvin Headed To AEW After WWE Stint
Samantha Irvin’s real-life partner is Ricochet, who is signed with AEW.
After she left WWE, fans speculated on whether she would follow him to the Florida-based company.
Recently, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful discussed Irvin’s status during a Q&A session:
I find it hard to believe she wouldn’t. She is well liked in the industry, and I’ve always been told that she’s a welcome presence at AEW. Originally, AEW was anticipating doing more work with JoJo Offerman, but that didn’t happen for some reason. [H/T RingsideNews.com]
Samantha Irvin has maintained a busy schedule during her time away from the wrestling ring.
In May, she stepped back from her hiatus to present legendary singer Stevie Wonder at a mental health support event hosted by the Las Vegas Raiders.
