Former WWE Tag Team Champion Signed To Legends Deal

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Typhoon has revealed that he has inked a Legends deal with the company.

The popular 68 year-old star teamed with fellow giant Earthquake to capture the WWE Tag Team Championship in July 1992 with a huge victory over then-Champions Ted Dibiase and Irwin R. Schyster.

The undoubted highlight of their title reign came at SummerSlam 1992, where over 80,000 spectators saw the intimidating duo retain the gold with a dominant victory over The Beverly Brothers.

The Miami-born star is also known for portraying Hulk Hogan’s close friend Tugboat in his early WWE days before gaining notoriety for behind the man behind the mask of the ill-fated Shockmaster gimmick in WCW.

Speaking during a recent virtual signing with Rich Degregorio, the former NWA Florida Heavyweight Champion revealed that he had turned down recent commercial opportunities due to being under a WWE Legends deal:

“There’s so many people that are making (action) figures outside. You got the Hasbro that’s up toward here. But, there’s so many. There’s a new — two brothers — that Adam Bomb just had a new figure out.

I forgot what they’re called because I had talked to them. They did call me on the phone about some stuff and everything and you know, I’m under a Legends deal and you know, I’m kind of funny that way.”

WWE Legends Set For Hall Of Fame Induction

Typhoon is set to cement his place in wrestling history by being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2025 alongside the late John ‘Earthquake’ Tenta.

The pair, known collectively as the Natural Disasters, will join fellow 2025 inductees Triple H, Lex Luger and Michelle McCool at a star studded ceremony emanating from Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Friday 18th April.
