Former World Champion Rejects New WWE Deal
Although they might be leaving, WWE has made an attempt to keep hold of a major star.
It’s been reported that Bobby Lashley and MVP have been removed from WWE’s internal roster. Not only that, both men are expected to leave the company when their contracts expire. In the case of Lashley, that could be in a matter of weeks.
Furthermore, WWE is now reportedly working on the assumption that both stars will leave and look to re-up the Hurt Business with Shelton Benjamin who is already a free agent.
In recent months, the company has signed the likes of Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, and Natalya to new contracts, and it seems they did make attempts to keep hold of Lashley.
Bobby Lashley Rejects WWE Offer
According to a new update from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE did offer Lashley a new contract. However, one source claimed the offer wasn’t one that made him “jump to sign,” and instead he was “strongly considering” seeing what he’d be worth as a free agent.
The same report noted that MVP’s deal is up in mid-August, but there haven’t been any “major discussions” about a new contract. There had been some talk of him becoming either a producer or an announcer, but nothing came of it.
In a post on social media, MVP said he was in the “best of spirits” and urged fans not to worry about his situation.
