Former World Champion “Banged Up” After WWE Raw

A banged-up WWE star is getting checked by doctors.

On the July 15th edition of Raw, Braun Strowman tangled with Damian Priest, although the latter’s World Heavyweight Title wasn’t on the line.

During the match, which Priest eventually won, Strowman was launched over the barricade and immediately began clutching his knee.

While appearing on WWE Die Woche, Strowman revealed he’s getting checked out by doctors in the coming days. The former Universal Champion only returned to the ring on May 1st after being out for more than a year following neck surgery.

Knee is a little banged up. I have a doctor’s appointment this week to get it checked out. If you’ve noticed, it’s been bugging me a little. I’ve been a little off-step the last couple of weeks. There’s been a little tweak going in there. When I caught it on the top of the barricade, I felt something move in my kneecap. I had a bruise on my knee at the end of the match. Not using it as an excuse, but it sure as heck didn’t help me not get beat,”

Multiple WWE Stars On Comeback Trail

Meanwhile, CM Punk has been spotted at the Performance Center as he races to get cleared for SummerSlam on August 3rd.

The star has been out of action since suffering a torn triceps at the Royal Rumble back in January. The most recent report on his status suggested Punk is yet to be cleared by doctors, although he’s expected to be given the green light by SummerSlam.

Rhea Ripley also hasn’t been cleared to wrestle despite a match against Liv Morgan being confirmed for the event. Again, the expectation is that she’ll be fit and ready to go by the time she challenges for the Women’s World Title.
