Former World Champion Officially Added To WWE Roster
A former world champion has now officially been added to the WWE roster, confirming what might be the least surprising signing in years.
TNA and WWE began a partnership in 2025 that saw stars from both companies appear on each other’s shows. Although WWE mainly kept that deal firmly in NXT from its side, there was one star who managed to push through.
Former TNA World Champion Joe Hendry held that title when he entered the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble and once again when he was Randy Orton’s surprise opponent at WrestleMania 41.
Hendry seemed to be more of a WWE star than a TNA one as the year progressed, and that was made official when the 37-year-old Scottish star officially signed with the sports entertainment giant.
Joe Hendry Now On WWE Roster
Now Hendry has been added to the company’s roster with his bio reading:
Say his name and he appears: Do you believe in Joe Hendry?
The Scottish sensation took the world by storm with his catchy songs, but it’s his in-ring ability that made everyone take notice of just how good Hendry is.
A key member of the WWE and TNA partnership, then TNA World Champion Joe Hendry stepped up and answered Randy Orton’s open challenge at WrestleMania 41 to a thunderous ovation from the WWE Universe.
Now a member of the WWE roster, Hendry continues to delight and dazzle the crowds with his signature surprise appearances and his incredible matches.
His addition comes amid reports that WWE is looking to end its partnership with TNA. TNA announced a new TV deal with AMC that will keep the company airing Impact on Thursday nights.
