Former TNA Champion Debuts In AEW

Tony Khan AEW

AEW has another exciting new arrival.

Back in June, Ace Austin announced that he was leaving TNA Wrestling. During his six years with the company, the star won the X-Division Championship three times, while becoming a three-time World Tag Team Champion alongside Chris Bey.

In a statement on social media, Austin described working for TNA as some of the best years of his life, and said that the door remains open for a return.

They gave me an opportunity to shine and I gave them some of the best years of my life. Together we flourished. One of the best things about #TNA is the door always swings both ways.

However, the star’s wrestling journey has now taken him in a different direction. During the August 14 taping of AEW Collision, not only was Austin on the show, but Tony Khan officially confirmed that he’s now All Elite.

In a short video aired on social media, Austin was confronted by Ricochet while visiting friends at Dynamite 24 hours earlier.

Austin joins fellow former TNA stars “Speedball” Mike Bailey and Josh Alexander in signing with AEW in 2025.

Several Stars Commit Future To AEW

The signing of Ace Austin comes after it was revealed that three AEW stars have agreed new contracts with the company. Although there’s no word on exactly when the deals were signed, they were all reported within a span of seven days.

Following the August 9 episode of Collision, it was confirmed that Kyle Fletcher had signed a new multi-year, “big money” contract. The deal is said to be especially lucrative for someone of Fletcher’s age. The TNT Champion turned 26 back in December.

This was followed by confirmation that Hook and Kota Ibushi have also signed new contracts. While Ibushi confirmed his deal is for two more years, the details of Hook’s contract remain unknown.
