Former Superstar Was Guest Coaching At WWE PC
Former WWE Superstar Kalisto was present last week at several WWE NXT house shows, and was also reportedly a guest coach and producer.
Fightful Select’s report states that Kalisto was at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando for the week, and was also at the NXT house show this past Friday night, with Kalisto being listed as producer for all of the matches in the women’s division. It is currently unclear on whether he will be back, or if it was just a one-time gig.
Last year in April, Kalisto was released by World Wrestling Entertainment after being with the promotion since 2013. Throughout his career he had a stint as the Cruiserweight Champion, as well as a run as a NXT Tag Team Champion. Also on his resume, Kalisto is a two-time WWE United States Champion.
He was featured in the Lucha House Party faction, being paired up with Sin Cara under the name of the Lucha Dragons. Kalisto would have his last WWE match during the WrestleMania 37 go-home episode of Smackdown, wrestling in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Also noted in Fightful’s report, IMPACT Wrestling “discussed bringing him in” when he became a free agent in 2021, however, the deal never went through.
