Former Superstar Cameron On Contacting Vince McMahon About WWE Return
Former WWE Superstar Cameron revealed in a new interview that she recently contacted WWE Chairman Vince McMahon about a possible return to the company.
Cameron’s real name is Arian Andrew and she had some appearances for AEW last year. She spoke with WrestlingInc where she revealed that she would like go back to WWE:
“I am very torn if I want to say this, but I actually reached out recently and was like, ‘I would love to come back,’ and, will I be back? That’s to be determined, but I actually reached out to Vince [McMahon] himself and was like, you know what, I’m going to go to the person who’s at the top. I miss being in that world of wrestling.”
Cameron noted that Vince McMahon even responded to her and commented that she should reach out to John Laurinaitis about a WWE return:
“He actually responded, which is crazy. I know he’s a busy person. He was like, ‘I’ll pass this along to John Laurinaitis,’ who’s head of talent relations.”
The 33-year-old Andrew worked for WWE from 2011 until she was released in May 2016. She was the first person eliminated from Tough Enough and had a memorable when Steve Austin asked her about her favorite match. Andrew replied it was Melina and Alicia Fox. Austin was dumbfounded by the reply. It was a memorable moment, but not in a good way.
Even though her Tough Enough appearance wasn’t something to be proud of, WWE did sign her to a developmental contract shortly after that. In 2012, Cameron became one of the Funkadactyl dancers with Naomi as they accompanied Brodus Clay to the ring for his matches. Once that ended, Cameron started wrestling more although she was never pushed that much.
Cameron was also part of the cast of Total Divas from seasons one to three as well.
