Former Raw Star Returns To NXT With New Gimmick

A former Monday Night Raw star has returned to his roots in NXT and shed his previous gimmick from his time on WWE’s main roster.

On the 22nd of November edition of NXT, Wes Lee defended his North American Championship in the main event against former champion Carmelo Hayes. Lee came out on top, retaining his title but his celebration was cut short by Dijak, who attacked the champion.

Dijak was previously known on NXT as Dominik Dijakovic but more recently he was better known as T-BAR on the WWE main roster as part of the Raw brand. Dijakovic made a name for himself on the black and gold brand, having a memorable feud with current AEW star Keith Lee.

Dijakovic was rechristened T-BAR on the WWE main roster as part of the ill-fated RETRIBUTION group that at one time also included Mustafa Ali, Mercedes Martinez, Mace, Shane Thorne, and Mia Yim. The group did not last long but Dijak continued competing as T-BAR until as recently as the edition of WWE Main Event which aired on the 8th of September. His last appearance on Raw came back in June as part of a battle royal.

It remains to be seen what Dijak will hope to accomplish back on the NXT brand but it looks like the North American Championship will be his first target.
