Former NXT Champion Officially Embraces Heel Turn

NXT Championship

Last week’s episode of WWE NXT concluded with a controversial finish to an entertaining NXT Championship match, as former champion Ricky Saints seemingly turned heel on the show.

Saints lost the NXT Championship to Oba Femi on Deadline this past month, and on the same event, Je’Von Evans became the Men’s Iron Surivor, earning himself a title shot for New Year’s Evil.

He ended up asking Oba to give him his show last week and the champion agreed. However, just before he could win the match, Ricky Saints interfered and pulled the referee out of the ring just before he could hit the three count, costing Je’Von the title.

Ricky Saints fully turns heel on WWE NXT

Ricky came out to the ring tonight and explained his actions from last week and confirmed his heel turn. He came out with massive security which surrounded the ring as he explained himself.

Saints claimed that he was the one who beat Oba the first time but when he lost, the fans were more than happy to see Je’Von challenge The Ruler for the title. He claimed that he was much better than Evans, but was then attacked by the Young OG.

The two got into a brawl but Ricky Saints managed to gain the upperhand and whipped Evans into the steel steps. He proceeded to attack him even more and hit a Roshambo on him through the announce table.
