Former AEW World Champion Teases New Rivalry With MJF

AEW Dynamite: New Year’s Smash kicked off with a bang as the new World Champion, MJF, opened the night, as he gloated and celebrated his recent win.

In his first act as champion, MJF made a big change to the brand and brought back his iconic Big Burberry Belt, also known as the Triple B. However, his segment was interrupted by a former World Champion.

MJF will likely have a new challenger on the horizon if he can get through the winner of the Dynamite Diamond Ring, Bandido, in two weeks’ time.

Kenny Omega Teases Rivalry with the AEW World Champion

As MJF was celebrating his championship win, Kenny Omega appeared on the titantron and interrupted the proceedings. Kenny pondered what if he were to challenge MJF in the current stages of their career.

Just as @The_MJF was getting started, he was interrupted by @KennyOmegamanX asking "What If?"

He stated that he has his eyes set on the top prize in the promotion and claimed that he will do whatever it takes to take back the AEW World Championship one day.
