Former AEW Figure Lifts The Lid On Working With Tony Khan
Recently departed AEW star Mark Henry has shared his views on working with Tony Khan.
‘The World’s Strongest Man’ spent three years with Tony Khan’s organisation following his debut at Double Or Nothing 2021 before departing at the conclusion of his contract on 28th May.
WWE Hall Of Fame member Henry was asked about the experience of working with the AEW President during a recent chat with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp and praised 41 year-old Khan’s willingness to communicate.
Henry, however, believes he could have been of even greater assistance to the company during his run had he been afforded the opportunity to do so:
“People are going to say negative things about Tony, but communication is the key.
Like, I was able to communicate with Tony. Tony is the boss. So he don’t have to do nothing that I say, that’s because he’s the boss.
But I wish that he would allow me to help him be even more the boss because talent will always try to lead you to do it their way, to make it fit them, rather than make it fit the company. And I just wanted AEW to do well.”
Tony Khan Addresses On-Screen Future
Khan finally made his return to AEW television on the 22nd May edition of AEW Dynamite, driving the returning Darby Allin to the arena.
Despite his surprise reappearance on screen, Khan has since declared that he expected for his screen time to be limited moving forward with the focus instead on the company’s wrestlers.
