Former AEW EVP Adam ‘Hangman’ Page is set to battle Christopher Daniels in a Texas Death Match.

Tension between the pair has been building in recent weeks, leading to Page issuing a challenge to Daniels for a match at AEW Collision: Maximum Carnage on 18th January.

The former AEW World Champion is no stranger to competing in the brutal bout, with a sole loss to Swerve Strickland the only defeat in his four death matches to date.

Christopher Daniels, however, is set to compete in just his second Texas Death Match and a first since an unsuccessful attempt to pry the the ROH World Championship from Cody Rhodes at Survival Of The Fittest on 18th November 2017.

Page had some harsh words for his opponent on the 11th January edition of Collision:

“Last Saturday you crossed a line when you laid hands on me. And for that you will pay a price.

Saturday on Collision: Maximum Carnage, Christopher Daniels, I will see you in a Texas Deathmatch. I have decided who I will be. And I will wake up every morning and make that same decision.

I would rather maim than be the man I was last year. CD, you have made your bed and next Saturday I lay you down in it forever.”

AEW Star Helped Adam Copeland Train For WWE Return

Recently returned AEW star Adam Copeland, currently using the moniker of Cope, was assisted by Dax Harwood as he made a 2020 comeback after nearly a decade out of the ring.

‘The Rated R Superstar’ made a surprising in-ring return during the 2020 Royal Rumble match having initially retired from active competition in 2011 due to serious neck issues.

FTR star Harwood recently lifted the lid on details behind Copeland’s in-ring return, revealing that it came about whilst he and Cash Wheeler trained the former WWE Champion’s wife, Beth Phoenix, for her own comeback in 2019.
