Former AEW Champion Sidelined With Concussion
One former AEW champion is facing some time on the shelf after suffering a concussion.
Back in 2022, Thunder Rosa was forced to vacate the AEW Women’s Championship due to injury. Rosa’s status was the cause of much speculation at the time with stars such as Toni Storm seemingly not happy with the situation.
It wasn’t until well over a year later in December 2023 that Thunder Rosa returned to action and in April 2024 she got a chance to reclaim the title she never lost against Storm at Dynasty but it was the Timeless star who came out on top.
AEW’s Thunder Rosa Facing The Sidelines Again
Now it seems Thunder Rosa could be set for another spell on the sidelines as she explained on Busted Open Radio that she was suffering from a concussion:
If you feel like you have a concussion, make sure you stop. Don’t get in there. It’s not worth it. I can tell you… right now, I’m suffering a concussion. So I’m gonna be out for a little bit, for a couple of weeks.
The last time Thunder Rosa competed in AEW was on the 31st of August edition of Collision where she was part of a four-way match involving Hikaru Shida, Queen Aminata, and Serena Deeb. Shida won the match earning herself a shot at Mercedes Mone’s TBS Title at All Out.
