Forgotten WWE Stipulation Returning On SmackDown

Nick Aldis WWE SmackDown

One forgotten WWE stipulation match is returning to the company on SmackDown as two stars’ bad blood takes an interesting turn.

For weeks now, Chelsea Green and Michin have been at odds on SmackDown with Green defeating the star one week before the former Mia Yim defeated Green’s tag team partner Piper Niven.

In that edition of SmackDown Chelsea Green teased a forgotten WWE match as she taunted Michin while tossing trash in a dumpster. And now fans have got their wish.

On the 20th of September edition of SmackDown, it was confirmed that Chelsea Green will now face Michin in a dumpster match on the 4th of October edition of the show.

Safe to say Michael Cole has picked his favourite to win the bout.

What Is A Dumpster Match In WWE?

The dumpster match was introduced in WWE after the infamous moment on Raw that saw the New Age Outlaws throw Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie off the stage in a dumpster. As a result, the two teams met in a WWE Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 14 in the company’s first dumpster match.

Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie won the gold but fell foul of a swerve the following night on Raw as the “wrong dumpster” rule came into effect and the championship was returned to Road Dogg and Billy Gunn.

Road Dogg was back in dumpster diving action at King of the Ring 2000 when he teamed with X-Pac and Tori to defeat The Dudley Boyz in a handicap three-on-two dumpster match. The last time the dumpster match was seen in WWE was on Raw in 2017 when Kalisto defeated Braun Strowman.
