Forgotten WWE Star Set For Royal Rumble Return
Another absent WWE star is heading to the Royal Rumble.
After 299 long days, Omos is on the verge of returning to a WWE ring. The star hasn’t wrestled for the company since taking part in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on April5, 2024, but that could be about to change.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, the star is being brought for the Royal Rumble in Indianapolis, and his name has been discussed for the Rumble match itself. However, there’s been no confirmation on whether he will actually wrestle.
After disappearing from television shortly after his most recent match, Omos popped up in Japan on January 1. The star has been a regular for Pro Wrestling NOAH throughout the start of the year, but recently announced his intention to return to the United States.
More WWE Returns On The Horizon
The news comes after it was reported that WWE is hoping to have AJ Styles back for the Royal Rumble. Styles, a former tag team partner of Omos’, has been out of action since suffering a foot injury back in October.
The star famously made his WWE debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble, where he entered at number three. Just nine months later, Styles was the World Champion.
WWE is also bringing in a popular WWE Hall of Famer for the event, and an appearance on the show has been discussed.
There have also been several reports that Nikki Bella has been in talks with the company over an in-ring comeback. While fans have been quick to point out that the Rumble would be the perfect place for her to return, there’s no word on whether there’s more to the idea than just speculation.
