Forgotten WWE Star Set To Make Surprise Return

A surprising WWE name could be about to get back in the ring.

Back in May, WWE announced it will be heading to Japan in July, to run its first live events in the country since June 2019. Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, IYO SKY, and the Kabuki Warriors have been confirmed for the tour.

The run of the shows will begin in Osaka on July 25th, before heading to Tokyo for two shows on July 26th and 27th.

In recent years the company has made a huge effort to have a more international flavour, hosting PLEs in Wales, Australia, Puerto Rico, Scotland, England, France, and shortly Germany.

While a Premium Live Event in Japan appears unlikely, it seems WWE is doing all it can to make sure local fans go home happy.

Forgotten Star Making WWE Return?

In a surprising move, Meiko Satomura is advertised to appear at the show in Osaka on July 25th. The former NXT UK Women’s Champion is featured on the company website alongside Bianca Belair, Dakota Kai, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Cody Rhodes.

Satomura’s involvement is especially noteworthy as she hasn’t wrestled in a WWE ring since early March 2023.

The Japanese legend began her career back in 1995 and competed in WCW, Stardom, Chikara, and several others before making her WWE debut in 2018. Satomura signed with the sports entertainment giant in 2020 working as an on-screen talent and a coach.
