Forgotten WWE Signing Still “In The System”

Triple H WWE Performance Center

An absent WWE signing is still training with the company.

Back in July, it was reported that WWE had signed Hikuleo, with many tipping him to join the ever-expanding Bloodline storyline. However, the star who is the son of wrestling legend Haku, is yet to appear on television.

In fact, the former NJPW star hasn’t wrestled at all since leaving New Japan Pro-Wrestling in June.

Surprisingly, it was reported in September that Hikuelo is listed internally as part of the NXT roster, seemingly confirming he won’t be making his debut on the main roster. But there have been no hints about when that debut might finally come.

Hikuleo Waiting For WWE Opportunity

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reiterated that Hikuleo is still signed to the company. Meltzer added the star is also injury-free, with WWE seemingly content to wait before introducing him on television likely in NXT.

For those asking about Hikuleo, he is in the system. He’s not injured. At some point he’ll debut, most likely in NXT. But he’s training.

Meanwhile, back in November, it was confirmed that Lance Anoa’i is officially a WWE Superstar. The former MLW star has been with the company since the summer but has been dealing with an injury that appears set to keep him out of the ring until well into 2025.

It was reported there are no plans for Anoa’i to feature in NXT or on the main roster with his injury keeping him on the sidelines “for a while.”

In 2024, WWE added Tama Tonga (Hikuleo’s brother) Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu to The Bloodline with the storyline showing no sign of slowing down.
