A former champion in WWE who has been gone for many years has decided to step into the ring again.

When fans of WWE think about the greatest Intercontinental Champions of all time, they will mention names Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Mr. Perfect, or the man with the longest IC Title reign ever GUNTHER.

There are also some superstars who won’t be remembered as legendary Intercontinental Champions. Those are characters like Dean Douglas, The Mountie, and Ezekiel Jackson, who had a 53-day reign as the champion in 2011 until the current WWE Champion Cody Rhodes beat him.

In addition to the Intercontinental Title, Jackson was also the final ECW Champion when WWE decided to pull the plug on that brand in February 2010.

Jackson worked for WWE from 2007 to 2014 and will always be somebody who had one of the most impressive physiques in the history of the company.

After departing WWE in 2014, Jackson had one match in TNA and also competed in Lucha Underground as Big Ryck until he left in 2015. Jackson’s final match was in October 2015 for the wXw promotion in Germany, but now he’s talking about a comeback nearly a decade after his last match.

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson Wants To Wrestle Again

Jackson posted a video on his YouTube channel talking about his return to wrestling at the age of 46.

“I continued asking myself if I ended my career the way I wanted to, and for the most part I didn’t. So, I’ve always had that little chip on my shoulder as to I want to end this the way I want to.

I’ve also had a bucket list of people I’d love to compete against, so we’re looking into scheduling a few things. I am accepting bookings and this should be fun.“

The powerhouse Jackson will be at FWE in North Carolina on March 15 and he’s not worried about if he’s physically capable of competing again.

“I’m still big as hell so I’m not worried about that. I do have to get into ring shape. I’m adding more cardio-based workouts, adding some rowing, and I’ll be getting in the ring a few times this week for the next few weeks. Should be a fun journey, I’m excited to see how this all plays out.”
