Forgotten WWE Champion Open To Royal Rumble Return

Former Divas Champion Kaitlyn is always open for a WWE return.

During the 2010s, Celeste Bonin competed in WWE’s then-Divas division under the name ‘Kaitlyn.’ The star is best known for her lengthy rivalry with AJ Lee over the Divas Championship, with Lee being Bonin’s final opponent before her departure in 2014.

Bonin returned to wrestling in 2018, competing on the independent scene and briefly returning to WWE to compete in the Mae Young Classic. After defeating Kavita Devi in the first round, Bonin was eliminated from the tournament by Michin.

The star continued on the indies for another year before stepping away from the wrestling business. However, she hasn’t closed the door on a return, and even came close to making a Royal Rumble appearance.

Speaking on The A2theK Wrestling Show, Bonin said she would like to go back to WWE if it was “cool and fun and made sense.”

“It depends. I’m always down to do something cool. If it’s cool and fun and makes sense, I’m always down for that. I had gone to a Royal Rumble a couple years ago where there was a possibility that I was gonna be in it, and it ended up not unfolding.

“I have a whole different life now, but WWE is such a big part of who I am. So I’m always down for stuff that makes sense. I’m always down for stuff that’s really cool. It just hasn’t really unfolded that way yet. But yeah, I’m always open to [an] opportunity for something to cross over or to make sense again. Always open for that.”

In a previous interview earlier in 2024, Celeste Bonin admitted she would have to “brush up a little bit” before making an in-ring return.

WWE Star Working On AJ Lee Return

Cora Jade has admitted badgering CM Punk to get AJ Lee back in the ring. Lee hasn’t wrestled in almost a decade, but she often comes up in the conversation for a dream return to WWE. Jade isn’t the only star trying to get Lee to return, with Roxanne Perez also in on the act.
