Forgotten Ex-WWE Star Causes Concern With Vicious Assault

A former WWE star allegedly legitimately attacked his opponent at a recent independent event.

Afa Anoa’i Jr. is a member of the famed Samoan Anoa’i dynasty and is likely best known for his brief stint as Manu in WWE back in 2008. There, he was part of The Legacy alongside Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, and Randy Orton. His run in the company didn’t last for long and he was released from his contract the following year.

Now going by Afa Jr., the star is a regular on the independent scene. At an Outlaw Pro Wrestling show over the weekend, Afa caused a stir when he accused his 18-year-old opponent for the night of pretending to be Samoan for his gimmick.

Fan footage has now emerged showing Afa kicking and punching the younger wrestler on the mat before the bell even rang. The referee quickly ended the match when he couldn’t answer a ten-count. Afa then got on the microphone to berate his opponent, claiming he was “the real f**cking Bloodline.”

“This is not cosplay. You had some bad advice from some bad f*cking trainers…because I don’t play wrestling…I bled for this sh*t…my family bled for this sh*t for generations. I’m not gonna let some Puerto Rican sh*t put a skirt on and pretend he’s Samoan. Now acknowledge me, the real f*cking Bloodline.”

According to Cultaholic, the incident was a shoot and Afa’s opponent’s lip and face were swollen after the assault, as well as having a large bruise on his ribs and stomach. While Cultaholic’s source wasn’t sure if Outlaw Pro Wrestling plans to work with the former Manu again, they did still seem friendly toward him.

Former WWE Star Manu Was Hospitalised In 2023

A year ago, Manu was fighting for his life with serious heart issues. His family set up a GoFundMe appeal for help to pay his medical bills after he was hospitalised with a “severe and complex cardiac issue.” After tests, it was discovered his heart was filling with fluid, and he was expected to require a lengthy period of recovery.
