Forgotten AEW Star On Brink Of Return
Another long-time absent AEW star will be back in the ring soon.
Dalton Castle has been out of action since suffering a concussion during a match on the July 13 edition of Collision with Roderick Strong. The injury caused the match to be changed on the fly, and the incident was described as a “mess” by Dave Meltzer.
To make matters worse, it was subsequently revealed that Castle had also suffered a torn biceps and had undergone surgery.
Following an 11-month absence, a new vignette aired on the June 5 edition of ROH TV showing Castle emerging from a spaceship in the desert. After being approached by The Boys, Castle said it’s time to break some hearts.
There remains no word on when Castle will return to the ring.
Tay Melo To Make In-Ring Return On AEW Dynamite
The vignette comes after it was announced that Tay Melo is set to wrestle her first AEW match in two and a half years on June 11. On the company’s special four-hour Summer Blockbuster show, Melo will reunite with her long-time tag team partner Anna Jay to face Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford.
At Fyter Fest, Bayne and Ford attacked Jay, but Melo arrived with a kendo stick in hand to even the odds in her first AEW appearance since 2023.
Tay Melo hasn’t wrestled in AEW since teaming with Anna Jay in defeat to Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale in a Street Fight back in January 2023. However, she did return to action at Stardom New Year Dream in January 2025 alongside Mina Shirakawa against Athena and Thekla.
During her absence, Melo welcomed her first child with her husband, Sammy Guevara.
