First Three WWE ID Wrestlers Announced

Triple H WWE

The first batch of wrestlers signed to the new WWE ID program has been announced.

On October 29th, WWE announced the creation of its new WWE ID program. The initiative will build on the company’s existing NIL program which was launched back in 2021 to identify the next generation of Superstars.

The program will see the company link up with several wrestling schools to bring through the next generation of Superstars.

Although some have expressed caution about the program, AEW star Jeff Jarrett recently spoke up in favour of the initiative, suggesting it will help the entire wrestling business.

WWE ID Program Underway

WWE has now begun announcing the first wrestlers signed to the program on social media, with three names confirmed on November 7th. Those names are Zayda Steel, Bryce Donovan, and Cappuccino Jones.

21-year-old Steel was scouted out of Combat Zone Wrestling, although she hasn’t wrestled for the promotion in two months. The star is perhaps most well-known for a five-month spell in Japan earlier in 2024 where she crossed paths with now-NXT star Giulia.

Bryce Donovan trained at the Create-A-Pro Academy before heading out onto the independent scene. Although a singles wrestler, Donovan regularly teams with Bobby Orlando as part of the Shook Crew. He’s previously worked as an enhancement talent for AEW, while he appeared at two ROH tapings back in March and April.

The final name announced was Cappuccino Jones. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native is billed from Coffeyville, Kansas, and leans heavily into every coffee-related pun you can imagine. Jones began wrestling in 2022 and appeared for both AEW and ROH earlier in 2024.

More prospects will be confirmed on November 8th, while another announcement will be made at Reality of Wrestling’s Super Sunday Event on November 10th. The promotion, which is owned and run by Booker T, already has close ties with the sports entertainment giant.
