First Match Made For Released WWE Star
A released WWE star has been announced for their first match since leaving the company.
On February 7 2025, it was reported that Cedric Alexander, Paul Ellering, Akam, Rezar, and Blair Davenport had been released by WWE. This was followed by the news that Sonya Deville had been told her contract would not be renewed.
It was later reported that Legada del Fantasma’s Elektra Lopez has also been released by WWE. Her profile was moved to the ‘Alumni’ section on the company’s website.
Elektra Lopez quickly broke her silence on the situation on social media, alluding to her 90-day non-compete clause:
Heard any good news lately? No? Well, make it quick—I’ve got a packed schedule for the next 90 days
