First-Ever Women’s Blood & Guts Coming To AEW

AEW Dynamite Blood & Guts

A huge Blood & Guts challenge has now been issued in AEW, and for the first time, it looks like the women in the company will take centre stage.

With AEW full of teams and partnerships at the moment, there has perhaps been no better time for Tony Khan to book the hugely anticipated double-ring Blood & Guts match. Speaking at the post-All Out media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about a Blood & Guts match taking place sometime soon, to which he explained why it’s difficult to schedule one but urged fans to keep their eyes peeled:

I think there is great potential for a Blood & Guts event. It requires a unique seating setup because with a two-ring setup, it involves putting an event on sale, basically telling the people, ‘This is going to be Blood & Guts.’ It’s not a show that is up right now because everyone has seen the seat maps, and there are no double-ring shows up. I do think there is a good chance of that. Please stay tuned.

And fans did not have to wait long to find out what’s going on.

Blood & Guts Returning To AEW

On the September 27th edition of Collision, Jamie Hayter defeated Jullia Hart, but Hayter was then attacked by the Triangle of Madness. Queen Aminata came to Hayter’s aid and managed to run off Hart, Skye Blue, and Thekla. Hayter then said she was tired of all the attacks, and there was only one way to settle things – Blood & Guts.

No match has been confirmed as of yet, and it remains to be seen who will comprise the two teams to enter the dreaded double-ring cage match.

Toni Storm lost the AEW Women’s World Title at All Out to Kris Statlander, and now Storm is scheduled to appear for the first time since that loss on the 6th anniversary edition of Dynamite.

The last AEW Blood & Guts match took place in July 2024 when Team AEW – Swerve Strickland, Darby Allin, Mark Briscoe, and The Acclaimed – defeated The Elite’s quintet of The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, Hangman Adam Page, and Jack Perry.
