Fired WWE Star Makes Shock Return Under New Name
One previously released WWE star has made a shock appearance at NXT Battleground under their new TNA name.
NXT GM Ava shocked everyone when she announced that TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace would be challenging Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground. Since that announcement Grace has competed in a WWE ring for the second time in her career as she defeated NXT star Stevie Turner.
At NXT Battleground, Jordynne Grace failed to dethrone Roxanne Perez as NXT Women’s Champion but the match was clouded with an appearance from two stars – one who used to work for WWE and now plies their trade in TNA.
The Face Is Familiar But The Name Is Not For WWE Fans
Tatum Paxley had shown an interest in Jordynne Grace’s TNA Knockouts Title and made her way to ringside during the bout to take her belt and seemingly try to get away with it. However, she was soon stopped by TNA’s Ash By Elegance who previously competed in WWE as Dana Brooke.
Jordynne Grace was quickly on the scene to clock both women with her title belt and found herself on the wrong side of Pop Rocks soon after as Perez retained her gold.
WHAT.
JUST.

Dana Brooke was released by WWE in September 2023 soon after the company was taken over by Endeavor. In January 2024, Brooke debuted for TNA under her new name Ash By Elegance at the company’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view.
