Fired WWE Star Making Ten Times Their Old Salary

A former WWE Superstar has flourished away from the ring.

On December 13, 2022, Mandy Rose surprisingly lost the NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez, ending her 413-day run with the title. An even bigger shock came 24 hours later when Rose was released from her contract without explanation.

While with WWE, Rose had set up a website selling “exclusive content” to fans, something she’s repeatedly said the company was aware of. However, in the days after her release, it was reported that WWE was growing uncomfortable with the “explicit” nature of her content and felt it was outside the parameters of her contract.

Despite near-constant speculation from fans, Rose hasn’t wrestled since being let go by the sports entertainment giant.

Mandy Rose Enjoying Life After WWE

During a recent episode of her Power Alphas podcast, Rose dived into her WWE exit and explained why she’s better off personally and financially since being fired.

“I wake up when I want, do what I want, and I don’t have to take bumps or be on the road for 300-plus days, and I make basically 10-times the amount of money that I made in WWE in one year. Like, that’s crazy,”

Rose went on to suggest that WWE’s discomfort had more to do with her controlling how she was marketed and presented rather than the content itself.

“[WWE was] basically using me as this sex symbol in a way where they can monetize off of it,” she said. “But then all of a sudden I go and do this on my own, you know, just having a direct relationship with my fans doing exclusive content, and all of a sudden within 24 hours I get stripped from my 413 [day] title reign, I get fired with zero warning, and I’m sitting there like ‘wait, what?'”

Back Injury Might Prevent Mandy Rose’s WWE Return

On a different episode of the podcast, Mandy Rose revealed that she’s dealing with a back injury that might mean she never wrestles again. After feeling some discomfort, Rose explained that it was discovered that she had some “trauma in the cervical spine area” from years in the ring and training as a bodybuilder.

More specifically, Rose confirmed she’s undergoing treatment for arthritis and the degeneration of some discs in her spine. While the star didn’t rule out returning to the ring eventually, she admitted that at present, a comeback doesn’t make much sense.

Despite the problems, Rose confirmed that she wouldn’t need surgery.
