Fired WWE Star Breaks Silence Over Sudden Exit

One recently released WWE star has broken their silence as they confront “wasting” years of their life in the company.

The news recently broke that Duke Hudson was released by WWE in January. No official reason was given for his departure. The 35-year-old Australian was last in action back in November 2024 at an NXT live event where he defeated Anthony Luke.

Hudson’s time in WWE will best be remembered for his run as part of the popular Chase U faction. Originally a somewhat unwilling member of the group alongside Andre Chase, Thea Hail, and Riley Osborne, he eventually grew to be an integral part of Chase U.

One report has suggested the real reason WWE has released Duke Hudson but the star himself now seems to be making plans for his future outside of the company.

Duke Hudson Confronts WWE Exit

Taking to social media, Duke Hudson released a video of him interviewing himself. During the interview, Hudson is confronted with comparisons to other WWE stars Bronson Reed and Rhea Ripley who have both found great success in the company.

The interviewer side of Hudson also questions himself about “wasting six years in that building” referring to the WWE Performance Center but the downtrodden star suggests he doesn’t think it was a waste.

Before his NXT run as Duke Hudson, the Australian star competed for a short spell on the WWE main roster under his real name of Brendan Vink. It remains to be seen if that will be his chosen ring name moving forward.
