Fired TNA Star Backstage At Recent WWE Shows
Could a recently fired TNA name be making a surprise return to WWE?
On March 25th, it was announced that TNA Wrestling had fired several members of management, including Gail Kim. According to the company, Ariel Shnerner, Rob Kligman, and Michael Shewchenko were also given their marching orders.
The departure of Kim caught the entire industry by surprise, with fans and insiders alike expressing their shock and disappointment at the news. The legend is widely regarded as one of the most important figures in modern women’s wrestling, having played a key role in the creation of the Knockouts division, as well as pushing for equality across the board.
Kim began working with TNA in 2005 as an in-ring performer before becoming an influential backstage figure when her wrestling career came to an end. As the backlash grew after Kim’s firing, TNA’s parent company was forced to release a statement explaining their actions.
Gail Kim Returning To WWE?
TNA has been in a partnership with WWE in recent months, but it seems the sports entertainment giant could welcome Kim back into their fold.
Fightful Select has reported that Gail Kim was backstage at the most recent edition of NXT, and that is not the first time she’s been at the show in recent weeks. WWE sources noted that Kim does not have an official role with the company right now. WWE is said to have been interested in bringing Kim in since she was fired, and has kept her presence at shows very quiet.
