Fight Pit Match Announced For WWE Extreme Rules
The Fight Pit is back in WWE.
During the 9/19 episode of Monday Night RAW, Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins continued their blood boiling feud as the pair engaged in a brawl in the arena’s parking lot and had to be separated by security. The spat took place after Riddle distracted Rollins during the latter’s loss to Bobby Lashley in a bid for the United States Championship, earlier in the night.
Following the physical altercation, Riddle challenged Rollins to a Fight Pit match for next month’s Extreme Rules premium live event.

WWE would officially announce the match for Extreme Rules, which takes place on Saturday, October 8.
Riddle took part in the company’s first-ever Fight Pit match during the May 27, 2020 episode of NXT, where he lost to Timothy Thatcher in what would be his (Riddle’s) final match in the company’s developmental brand.
