Female WWE Star Had To Dress “Hoey” In Vince McMahon Era
Vince McMahon’s era in WWE is notorious for treating women as eye candy rather than legitimate athletes, with short matches and one-dimensional characters.
Becky Lynch is one female star who has worked under McMahon.
That said, on comedian Bert Kreischer’s show, ‘Something’s Burning,’ she revealed she had to dress “hoey” in WWE while Vince was running things.
The topic was brought up when Seth Rollins mentioned his memory of meeting Lynch for the first time in WWE.
At the time, when you were a girl in WWE, you always had to go to the shows in nice dresses… I was an extra. I was in NXT so you had to be as hoey as possible.
You had to be like, dress, up to your ass, low as can be. This was the aesthetic. I didn’t suit the aesthetic but anyway… [H/T Fightful]
Becky Lynch Says WWE Star Blacklisted Female Co-Workers Who Wouldn’t Sleep With Him
During their conversation, Becky Lynch also revealed that there was a wrestler in WWE who would try to sleep with his female co-workers
Whether they slept with him or not, they would end up getting blacklisted. Lynch kept the identity of the star anonymous.
At the time, it was also, ‘Stay away from the boys. Don’t go near the boys. No, stay away from the boys.’
But it was certain things like — I’m not going to name names, but there was a guy on the main roster who was like, ‘Be careful. Be careful, because if — one, he’ll try to sleep with you. If he sleeps with you, then he’ll blacklist you. And if he tries to sleep with you and you don’t sleep with him, he’ll also blacklist you.’
So there was this line that you had to walk — this tightrope. You know him definitely. But anyway, at one point, it was like, how do you walk this line of, you know what I mean.
