Fatal Influence Miss Chance To Be Draped In Gold On WWE NXT

NXT Stable Fatal Influence

Week Two of WWE NXT’s Gold Rush 2025 kicked off with Jackson Drake, as he defended his WWE Evolve Championship on the show. The television special continued with another title defense in the penultimate match of the show.

Kendal Grey of the No Quarter Catch Crew put her WWE Evolve Women’s Championship on the line as she faced Fatal Influence’s Lainey Reid. The villainous NXT stable had already racked up a win tonight as Fallon Henley won the Women’s Speed Championship.

Following Reid’s interference in Fallon’s match, NXT General Manager Ava announced that both Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley would not be allowed at ringside, leaving Lainey alone to defend herself.

Another WWE Evolve Championship retained on NXT

Kendal and Lainey wrestled an extremely entertaining match as both competitors gave it their all in the match. Kendal had Wren Sinclair on her side, offering support and cheering on the champion.

Lainey Reid had a couple of moments where she could’ve won the match but Grey kicked out at the last second on every occasion. The finish to the match came when Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley rushed to the ringside, despite Ava’s orders.

They tried to help their stablemate but instead got into a brawl with Wren Sinclair. In the ensuing chaos, Charlie Dempsey made his NXT return as he caught Sinclair as she was falling from the ring apron. The referee sent everyone backstage amid the chaos, leaving Kendal in the ring with Reid. She hit her with the Grey area to retain her title, following in Jackson Drake’s footsteps.
