Fans Will Revolt If WWE Makes This Move, Warns Ex-Star

WWE Triple H

A former WWE star thinks fans will completely revolt against the company if they pull off what could be a very unpopular move.

WWE is headed to Saudi Arabia once again for Night of Champions despite serious unrest in the Middle East. Iran has exchanged missiles with Israel and launched an attack on a US air base in Qatar. However, a shaky ceasefire deal has been agreed, which will hopefully stop the bombs for the time being.

WWE and Saudi Arabia’s partnership dates back to 2018, and with the Middle Eastern Kingdom finally landing a staple of the sports entertainment giant as the Royal Rumble heads there in 2026, there are plenty of rumours suggesting WrestleMania will also head there sooner rather than later.

WWE Fans Won’t Be Happy With 2 WrestleManias

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that WWE is all but certain to hold WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia but could fight back against any backlash by holding a different version of the show in the Middle East:

They’ve got the Royal Rumble there next year, they got a quote WrestleMania coming. The WrestleMania may be the “Greatest Royal Rumble” WrestleMania, as opposed to the WrestleMania. But they will do a show called WrestleMania. Whether that will be two WrestleManias, there could be. It’s a decision they have to make.

Now on The Last Word, former WWE commentator Jonathan Coachman has expressed his thoughts on that outcome and suggests fans will not be happy if it comes to pass, as he doesn’t think WWE will even sell out one WrestleMania in 2026:

I think next year they’re gonna have a hard time selling out in Las Vegas. They didn’t sell out this year, I don’t care what they say. All of a sudden, they found 24,000 people in the last two days to buy tickets in Vegas? What? No, that didn’t happen.

I’m telling you, these fans, at some point, are gonna revolt, and if you really throw four nights of Mania a year, I don’t believe it.
