Fans Warned Over WWE Library As Major Deal About To End

Triple H WWE

Fans who love to watch wrestling action from years gone by have been issued a stern warning as big changes loom for WWE.

In 2014, wrestling changed forever when WWE launched its own Network, putting decades worth of content online for fans to stream for the low, low price of $9.99 a month. Not only was WWE content put on the Network, but WCW, ECW, and content from the days of the territory were also included.

That all changed when WWE signed a huge deal with NBC, all but ending the Network in the United States as the sports entertainment giant’s library went to Peacock.

At the end of 2025, that deal will end, however, and there’s been no announcement as to where the old shows might end up. That could spell bad news for fans and thousands of podcasts which cover old shows as well.

WWE Library Going To ESPN?

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that fans of older wrestling shows might want to hurry up and get them watched before the end of the year:

The library at the end of this month will no longer be on Peacock, and what happens with the library in the United States is up in the air. I know ESPN has said that they’re interested, so it’ll probably wind up with ESPN. How much ESPN will put on its service, we’ll have to wait and see.

There’s so much stuff Netflix never put up because they have the rights internationally, so you just don’t know. But the Peacock stuff, I think that if you wanna watch a lot of that old stuff, especially the territorial stuff that’s not WWE, the historical stuff, you might wanna watch it in the next month because there’s no guarantee whoever gets the deal next will keep all of the stuff, especially the older stuff. Somebody new might say there might be no value in this.

ESPN signed a massive deal to show new WWE PLE events in the United States in 2025. That deal started with WrestlePalooza in September, which saw Brock Lesnar return to the ring for the first time in two years.
