Exiled AEW Star Wins World Championship
Exiled AEW star Ricky Starks has gold around his waist once again.
The 34 year-old star remains under contract with the company but has not competed in an AEW ring since teaming with Big BIll in a losing effort against Top Flight on March 30th 2024.
Starks made his debut for Tony Khan’s organisation on the 17th June 2020 edition of AEW Dynamite, unsuccessfully attempting to pry the AEW TNT Championship from Cody Rhodes following an open challenge.
The New Orleans native has a string of titles to his name having captured the FTW Championship, AEW World Tag Team Championship and the 2023 Owen Hart Cup during his tenure with the company.
Starks has added a new piece of gold to that list, however, after capturing the DEFY World Championship from KENTA at DEFY Hundredth in Seattle, Washington on 7th February.
AEW Creative Slammed By WWE Hall Of Famer
Former WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff has launched another attack on AEW creative.
The outspoken 69 year-old has long been a critic of Tony Khan’s booking decisions and has launched a fresh assault on AEW, declaring the company as ‘the place where careers go to die’.
