Ex-WWE Writer Believes The Wyatt Sicks Aren’t Being Used Properly
The Wyatt Sicks don’t need to be around championships, according to a former WWE writer.
At the end of WWE SmackDown on May 23rd, The Wyatt Sicks group made their return to television after being away for over five months.
The Wyatt Sicks group consists of Uncle Howdy (Bo Dallas), Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Nikki Cross. They are a tribute to Bo’s late brother, the future WWE Hall of Famer Bray Wyatt.
During their return, the Wyatts ruined a WWE Tag Team Championship match between The Street Profits and their challengers, Fraxiom.
On WWE SmackDown in Knoxville, The Wyatt Sicks attacked The Street Profits, Fraxiom, Motor City Machine Guns, and #DIY. Nikki Cross even took out Candice LeRae with a dive as well.
Freddie Prinze Jr. is a successful actor and producer who is also a lifelong wrestling fan and was a lead writer on SmackDown. While speaking on his Wrestling With Freddie podcast, Prinze made the point that the Wyatt group shouldn’t be going after the WWE Tag Team Titles.
“I don’t know if tag teams is the way to get the Wyatt Sicks over, because I don’t know enough people to care about tag team wrestling.
So I don’t know how big the stakes are going to be, whereas I think there’s a better way to get them over on the mic and have them isolate targets. It doesn’t necessarily have to be for tag team titles. I don’t think The Wyatt Sicks should ever hold titles or belts. They should hold on to chaos. They should hold on to being different.”
How Could Alexa Bliss Factor Into The Wyatt Sicks Group?
Alexa Bliss is back in WWE, but she isn’t part of the Wyatt Sicks group. At least not yet. It could happen at some point in the future. In Prinze’s opinion, Bliss could be like a leader of the group.
“It’s a stable of six unicorns … and now, they’re going to have Alexa Bliss as well who can be a great mouthpiece for them.
So I just feel like that might be the better way to get them over is on the mic and then identifying targets through Alexa Bliss. Then Uncle Howdy, or Bo [Dallas] can say some of his stuff as well.”
