Ex-WWE Star Comes To Triple H’s Defense Against Haters
A former WWE superstar believes Triple H doesn’t deserve some of the criticism he gets.
As the WWE Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque has a lot of responsibility, overseeing the creative team on the main roster and the talent roster as well.
Even though Triple H had a Hall of Fame career as a wrestler, he can’t put the boots on again. Instead, he’s putting on the seat and running things his way.
While WWE is selling out arenas and filling stadiums worldwide on a regular basis and signing billion-dollar deals with the likes of Netflix, ESPN & NBC Universal, some fans believe the product isn’t as exciting as it used to be. They think it’s not as good as it was in 2023 or 2024, particularly on the road to Wrestlemania in those years.
Bill DeMott is a former WCW and WWE wrestler who competed as Hugh Morrus. He was also a WWE coach, known for his aggressive teaching methods.
Since DeMott was on the WWE roster when Triple H was, he does know the man, so when he spoke to Sportskeeda’s Bill Apter about the current WWE life, DeMott praised Triple H for the job he was doing.
“Take a second, learn. I’m a big believer in until you hear and see it for yourself, take it with a grain of salt. The proof is in the pudding. Wrestling is at its hottest. WWE is at its hottest. Pay hikes, all these things, whatever you want to say, WWE is on fire. And Hunter is doing it right. My opinion.”
Kurt Angle Supports Triple H Running WWE
One of Triple H’s greatest rivals, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, also recently praised the job that The Game was doing.
“He’s doing incredibly well, I’m so proud of him, he’s a great leader…
The thing is, him being retired and out of the business, he really looks at it as ‘I need to focus on this business and make it the best it can be’, and he’s done that incredibly well.
I think TKO made the right decision on making him in charge of creative, and I think he’s doing a hell of a job.”
Even though he doesn’t wrestle anymore, Triple H was also part of the new WrestleMania 42 commercial with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, and “The Oracle,” Paul Heyman.
