Ex-WWE Stars File Trademark That Could Lead To New Stable Name
A new trademark has been filed that could be associated with some big name former WWE superstars.
It has been reported that a company named ‘Totally Harmless Concept, LLC.’ submitted a filing for a new phrase that is leading people to believe that it could be associated with former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and his good friend, former US Champion Montel Vontavious Porter aka MVP.
The trademark filing for “The Hurt Syndicate” was registered on August 14th for professional wrestling and entertainment services.
That trademark filing happened just a few days before Bobby Lashley and MVP were both moved to the alumni section on WWE’s website. What that means is that Lashley and MVP are officially free agents after being a part of WWE for many years.
A big reason why people believe “The Hurt Syndicate” name is associated with Lashley and MVP is due to their success as The Hurt Business with Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander. While Alexander remains under WWE contract, the veteran Benjamin is also a free agent right now.
As for the futures of Lashley and MVP, some people believe that Bobby Lashley would eventually appear in AEW like other former WWE Champions such as Bryan Danielson, Adam Copeland, Paul Wight and others.
Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley Training For Boxing Match
During a recent interview, Bobby Lashley revealed that he underwent surgery following his last WWE match in France this past May. He didn’t reveal what he had surgery on, but he was close to being cleared to compete again.
Lashley also revealed that he already has an opponent for a potential boxing match.
“I love to be able to push myself to do things that are ridiculous. I set goals for myself every day. What can I do? How far can I push myself? How much can I do? I want to run a marathon. I’m going to try to do that pretty soon.”
“I’ll do jiu-jitsu, I’m going to try and win a world championship in jiu-jitsu. I’m going to do a boxing match. We’ve already talked about this boxing match. I might have an opportunity to do it. I’m boxing somebody in Vegas. There is an opponent.”
The details of that boxing match aren’t known yet, but we’ll certainly provide any updates on the futures of Lashley and MVP as more details become available.
