Ex-WWE Stars Making More Money Since Leaving Company

A former WWE star is enjoying life outside the company.

Despite a remarkable spike in popularity during 2025, Karrion Kross and Scarlett left WWE on August 10 after their contracts expired.

It later emerged that WWE did offer Kross a new contract, but the offer was rescinded after he asked to see data on how the figures had been reached. Despite Scarlett’s contract being up at the same time, she never received an offer, with the company choosing to deal with Kross first.

Scarlett later said that this “came off as misogynistic,” especially as she signed with WWE before Kross.

At the time, there were repeated claims that their departures were part of a storyline, but that was quickly proven not to be the case.

Since leaving WWE, the pair have resumed their careers on the independent scene, reverting to their former ring names, Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux.

Scarlett Makes Surprising WWE Claim

During an appearance on The Coach And Bro Show, Scarlett claimed that she and Kross are now making more money outside of WWE than they made while with the sports entertainment giant. She said that anyone in the company worried about being released should know that there are options outside of the WWE bubble.

“This sounds crazy and probably not very believable, but it’s something I feel like the people in WWE right now who might be stressed out, ‘Am I going to get released?’ They might want to hear this — we are making more than we were making there,” Bordeaux said. “And we were getting paid very well, but we are making more now weekly on the shows we’re doing than we were at WWE.

And WWE pays great, but it can be done if you hustle.”

It’s been announced that Killer Kross will be back in action at MLW x Don Gato Live Wrestling Special in Charleston, South Carolina, on November 20. Flanked by Scarlett, Kross will be taking on Matt Riddle.

The show will also feature the MLW debut of Isla Dawn.
