After not being in active competition, a former WWE has talked about things have snowballed since they returned to the ring.

Earlier this month, Tyler Breeze won the NGW Championship from Matt Cross, in what was his first match in two years. Prior to that, his last match was alongside Fandango in a victory against Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser in NXT on 15th June 2021.

In a discussion with Lazy Booking, Tyler Breeze admitted it wasn’t his original intention to take so much time off after his release from WWE, but he came to enjoy not being on the road.

It’s pretty cool man. I never really planned on taking two years off, but after doing this for 15 years and being in WWE for 11 years, to where I really didn’t take any time off … When I finally got that call, I was like, ‘Alright, well, I’m just gonna chill for a little bit.’ And then, I really liked it.

I still got to scratch the wrestling itch a little bit with Flatbacks [his training school] but I wasn’t really missing, like, being on the road at all.

Continuing on, Tyler Breeze talked about how his diary is suddenly extremely full.

I was like ‘Well, I’ll do one, [then the promoter asked me to do two more], then somebody saw that,… and then all of a sudden, you know, my September’s full of bookings.
