Ex-WWE Star Recalls Worst Celebrity Experience With Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler

A former WWE star has discussed their dreadful experience with Adam Sandler when trying to put together a segment that ended up not making TV.

Adam Sandler is the star of the new Happy Gilmore 2 movie, which has no shortage of connections to the wrestling business. AEW star MJF plays one of Sandler’s sons in the film, and Adam Sandler has gone on record with how he feels about The Salt of the Earth.

But not every wrestling star has had such a positive experience with the comedy movie megastar.

Adam Sandler Segment A Drag For Ex-WWE Star

Speaking on The Stevie Richards Show, Stevie Richards detailed his own experience working with Sandler when he was a guest on a WWE show. Richards thinks the segment went so poorly that it ended up not even making it to air:

I had one of the worst celebrity experiences that we talked about during the Right To Censor episode, where Adam Sandler would not play along with anything during that. That’s when he was doing the Little Nicky movie. I was a huge Adam Sandler fan, and I looked forward to that pre-tape, but afterwards, that was one of the worst pre-tapes I’ve ever done with or without a celebrity.

He was literally looking at his watch during the pre-tape, which was only 60 or 90 seconds, maybe a little longer. I don’t remember it airing. I think it was so terrible, it didn’t air.
