Ex-WWE Star Very Concerned About Ron Killings Character Change
A former WWE star has expressed their serious concern over Ron Killings’ change in direction following his shock return.
The wrestling world was left shocked when R-Truth revealed his WWE contract was not being renewed and he was on his way out of the company. There was an even bigger surprise, however, when R-Truth made his surprise return at Money In The Bank to take out John Cena in the night’s main event.
Since then, the picture has become clearer with Nick Khan believed to have taken the lead to bring Truth back into the fold. The star himself revealed he’ll now be known as Ron Killings in WWE as he cut his trademark braids off on Raw, as he urged everyone to put some respect on his name.
But is a more serious character really going to work?
Concern Over Ron Killings’ New WWE Direction
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, former WWE star Lance Storm explained why he’s unsure if a more serious Ron Killings will work, as that is not what the fans so badly wanted the company to bring back:
That’s my concern. They really loved (him), he was the most fun, entertaining comedy segment on the show for a decade, they liked him, they enjoyed it. And you could tell that the audience, whenever he really pushed the ‘I’m angry, put some respect on my name, I’m serious’, that the crowd was a little taken aback.
I think it’s a gamble because not only is it not what was over, but it also is much more physically demanding of a guy that, while still looking really young, isn’t. I hope it works out for him.
