Ex-WWE Star Has Been Trying To “Expose” John Cena For Years

John Cena WWE Raw Promo

An ex-WWE star thinks there’s more going on than meets the eye with John Cena.

John Cena might be embracing life as a bad guy in 2025, but it hasn’t always been this way.

At WrestleMania 35, he briefly returned to his “Doctor of Thuganomics” gimmick to a monster ovation from the crowd as he interrupted a concert by Elias. (Now known as Elijah in TNA). Cena insulted Elias and quickly hit him with an Attitude Adjustment.

During a new interview with MuscleManMalcom, Elijah looked back on that WrestleMania 35 moment, while pointing out that he’s been trying to expose Cena since before it was popular.

“I’ve been exposing him for years. Everybody hated me for it. All of a sudden, it all makes sense. You know what I mean? Yeah, of course, the WrestleMania [35] moment, that was fantastic, and now John [Cena] all of a sudden, right, for whatever reason, he hates everybody, and it was a big scam—I don’t know. I think there’s something a little bit deeper going on there. Maybe that will get revealed at some point,”

John Cena Ready For Money In The Bank Test

On the latest stop of his retirement tour, John Cena will team with Logan Paul to take on Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes at Money In The Bank. The match was made after Cena got involved in the World Heavyweight Championship match between Paul and Uso at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Cena’s intervention brought out Cody Rhodes, who was making his first WWE appearance since losing to the 17-time World Champion at WrestleMania 41.

Rhodes and Cena are set to come face to face one more time on the June 6 edition of SmackDown.

Meanwhile, Elijah is set to challenge Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship at Against All Odds, also on June 6.
