Ex-WWE Star Thinks They’ve Been “Erased” By Company
A former WWE Superstar thinks they’re being removed from company history.
On March 26, former WWE star Mandy Rose was back in the news after branding the company “pathetic” on social media. Rose made the comment after a fan said she was being brushed from WWE history, by never being mentioned as a double champion.
This is in reference to Stephanie Vaquer being billed as a double champion now she holds the NXT Women’s Title and Women’s North American Titles.
However, as many fans were quick to point out, Rose was never technically a double champion. At Worlds Collide in 2022, the star, who held the NXT Women’s Title, defeated NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura and Blair Davenport in a unification match.
Mandy Rose Reflects On Relationship With WWE
During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, Rose was asked whether she’s surprised that she isn’t referenced on NXT television. The former Women’s Champion admitted that she is, and reiterated that if the situation made sense, she would return to the ring.
“It does. I really don’t know what it was. Circumstantial, and there have been a lot of people in the company where things happen and time goes on and they come back. It’s a business, at the end of the day, and they look at it like a business. I have no idea what it is. I thought maybe I’d be back too, wrestling in general.
The cards right now for me, I’m doing really well and does it make sense for me to go back to wrestling? I don’t know, and that’s something I’m still unsure about. I’ve never hung up the boots and said I’m done. I’m still young. If it made sense, I would definitely consider it,”
When asked whether she could appear at the Royal Rumble, Rose questioned whether she would be accepted, and said she feels she’s being erased.
“I don’t know if they would accept me back. I don’t know how they feel. I’ve never had a conversation. Are they really offended with what happened? I don’t know. Maybe they just don’t want to be associated with me anymore, in a sense, because I feel like I’m a little bit erased in certain scenarios.
NXT did mention me not too long ago. It was a promo package and they were talking about the women in general evolving, which was cool. That gave me a little glimmer of hope, ‘Oh, I got a little recognition there.’ I feel like I am a little erased from their rolodex of superstars. I could be wrong.”
Mandy Rose hasn’t wrestled since being fired by WWE in December 2022, although she’s repeatedly stated that she isn’t officially retired.
