Ex-WWE Star Comments On Spitting In Triple H’s Face

It’s not every day that a wrestler can boast about having spat in Triple H’s face.

However, Carlito did just that in 2007 when he was a heel and The Game was a babyface.

The incident occurred during a segment hosted by the Puerto Rican wrestler on WWE RAW, Carlito’s Cabana, where Triple H was the guest of honor.

Midway through the segment, both wrestlers began taking verbal shots at each other when the Cerebral Assassin said something crude.

Carlito did not hesitate to get in his face and took a few bites of the apple before performing his signature Apple Spit.

Triple H did not take the insult lightly and launched an attack. He hit Carlito before nailing him with a spinebuster, followed by the Pedigree.

Carlito discussed the segment on D-Von Dudley’s podcast, sounding mighty impressed by his unique feat.

That’s not bad. A good spray. I don’t think so either. I’m pretty impressed with that one. I want to make sure it was a good one. Yeah, that was definitely a good one, he said. [from 8:50 onwards]

Triple H’s Old Wounds To Blame For Carlito’s WWE Exit?

In June 2025, WWE released veterans R-Truth and Carlito, and while R-Truth was brought back after a backlash, Carlito wasn’t.

The former United States Champion reflected on his time with the company, but also stated that Triple H may have had a role to play in his departure.

I was hoping to [bury the hatchet and work well with WWE], but I think with Hunter [Triple H], there was still something from back in the day. There’s a reason I was gone 13 years, you know?

So my goal was to be the perfect employee. I’m not going to complain, I’m going to show up on time, anything they do — that’s why everything they do was on time. Anything they wanted me to do, I did. I didn’t complain.

I didn’t suck up to anybody, because that’s just not my style. But I said, ‘Hey, look, I’m just going to be a professional.’ But I guess Hunter is still not a big fan of mine. And it’s not a hit against Hunter. It’s just that he is the guy in charge.

After departing the Stamford-based company, Carlito returned to World Wrestling Council, a promotion run by his father.
