Ex-WWE Star Signs Multi-Year Deal With IMPACT Wrestling

IMPACT Wrestling

A former WWE Superstar has secured their wrestling future for the next several years after inking a deal with IMPACT Wrestling.

The man now known as Kon in IMPACT is better known to WWE fans as Konnor, who was one-half of The Ascension. That team was one of the early success stories on the NXT brand, becoming the fourth team to capture the NXT Tag Team Championship and holding that gold for one day short of a full year.

However, that success did not translate to the main roster when the team graduated to it in late 2014. Despite an early winning streak, The Ascension soon became an underneath team rarely seen on Raw or SmackDown. Both Konnor and his partner Viktor were released from the company in December 2019.

Kon made his IMPACT debut in early 2022 facing off with Josh Alexander before returning to the promotion in November and joining Deaner and Angels in The Design. That group has since initiated former IMPACT World Champion Sami Callihan into the group.

Kon’s time in IMPACT will be more than a one-off as he has confirmed to PWTorch that he has signed a multi-year deal with the company although the exact terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
